Message to all our patients:

Thank you all for bearing with us, at this unprecedented time of winter pressures. We appreciate that this is a time of concern and worry.  We are working hard to avoid any disruption to the service we provide to you. Our staff are working extremely hard behind the scene to ensure that essential services continue, for example, prescriptions, cancer referrals, and palliative care.

During this time our aim is to:

  • Direct patients w to NHS 111 and the Covid-19 Home Management Service.
  • Continue providing all other essential functions following national guidance
  • Minimise risk to patients and staff of community transmission of Coronavirus

What you can do to help:

  • Please make sure you give us up to date contact details so we can contact you by telephone when needed
  • We would encourage all patient to use online services for repeat prescriptions where possible. Otherwise repeat prescriptions should be put into the letter box situated on the wall just outside the front door of the surgery, please do not enter the reception area.
  • We would encourage all patients to have a nominated pharmacy where prescriptions can be sent to electronically from the surgery.
  • Please do not come to the surgery for routine enquiries, telephone instead and try at less busy times after 2 pm.
  • Please do not order repeat medication early, our policy is that it should be no earlier than 10 days in advance

As a result you will notice that our telephone lines will be busier than usual but we will ensure optimal capacity to answer these calls.

We must all take this seriously but at the same time not panic. We wish to reassure you that the surgery will do everything possible to support you at this challenging time.

Thank you
